七月は何といっても、この365日シリーズのちょうど半分、六ヶ月、半年を終えて、メカスも「今後どういう展開になるかわからない」と告白しながらも、気分を新たに再開したことが大きかった。最初の二日間と7日にはメカスは彼の「映画哲学」をしみじみと語ったのだった。生活に寄り添い現実を蒸留するようにして真実のイメージ、詩的、「俳句的」イメージに到達すること。そして、今月は古いフッテージからのアンソロジーの趣きが強かった。しかも自分の子や、ビアードの子が登場する古い映像が一際印象的だった。とはいえ、改めて全部を振り返ってみれば、多様性に富んでいることが確認できる。既知の有名人から、未知だったアーティストまで。都市から自然まで。アジアとアフリカも。
